A women-led BJJ class for women who want practical self-defense, technique, fitness, and community—or simply want a comfortable way to begin before stepping into a co-ed training room.

A room to learn
Walking into a martial arts academy can feel like a big first step. The Friday women’s class gives new students a focused, women-only environment where questions are welcome and progress can happen at a personal pace.
Experienced grapplers also get a purposeful weekly room for technical development and live training with supportive partners. The class is serious about learning without losing the sense of community that makes people want to return.

What you’ll build
Confidence is not treated as a slogan. It grows from learning useful skills, training them with partners, and seeing yourself handle challenges more calmly over time.
Learn escapes, positional control, leverage, takedown concepts, and submissions that do not depend on being the biggest or strongest person in the room.
Build strength, mobility, coordination, and conditioning through engaging movement and partner training rather than repeating an isolated workout.
Train with women who help each other learn, work hard, ask questions, and keep showing up without judgment or unnecessary pressure.

Led with experience
Rolling Bear is led by Professor Lydia Bergamasco, a first-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, Judo brown belt, Pans Champion, and multiple-time Worlds medalist. Her experience as a competitor and coach shapes a class that is technically detailed, welcoming, and built to help women make real progress.
Students who later want additional training can also join Rolling Bear’s co-ed Fundamentals, Intermediate, and Advanced adult classes.
