What children practice

Strong movement.
Steady character.

Kids BJJ gives children physical challenges they can solve with technique, patience, and coaching. Progress is not only about learning moves—it is also about listening, trying again, working with partners, and staying composed when something feels difficult.

  • Coordination, balance, agility, and body awareness.
  • Age-appropriate self-defense and anti-bullying awareness.
  • Respect for coaches, teammates, boundaries, and safety.
  • Confidence earned through practice and measurable progress.
  • Teamwork, resilience, listening, and problem-solving.

Built for families

Serious coaching.

Our coaches create a structured environment where children are expected to learn safely, treat partners with respect, and contribute positively to the class.

Questions from parents

Before their
first class.

We will help you choose the appropriate age group and prepare your child for a comfortable first visit.

Does my child need prior martial arts experience?

No. Children can begin with no previous experience. Coaches introduce the class format, movements, and expectations at an age-appropriate pace.

How do I choose the correct group?

Age is the starting point, but coaches can recommend the best fit based on development, experience, and comfort. Contact us if your child is near an age transition.

Is live training safe for children?

Partner work is introduced with clear rules, close supervision, and age-appropriate intensity. Safety, control, and respect are reinforced throughout class.

What should my child wear?

Contact us before the first visit. We will confirm whether the class is Gi or No-Gi and tell you exactly what clothing or equipment is needed.
