Rolling Bear welcomed Cranford’s own judo Olympian Jack Yonezuka for a Judo-inspired Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu seminar focused on improving the takedown game.

The seminar brought Judo concepts into a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu setting, giving Rolling Bear members and visiting grapplers an opportunity to learn directly from one of New Jersey’s accomplished international judoka.

About Jack Yonezuka
Jack Yonezuka comes from a respected Judo family. His father, Nick Yonezuka, competed at the 1980 Olympic Games, and his grandfather, Yoshisada Yonezuka, served as a two-time Olympic coach.
- Represented the United States at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games at 73 kg.
- Made history at the 2022 Junior World Championships as the first U.S. man to medal at Junior Worlds in 30 years.
- Competed at the 2022 and 2023 Senior World Championships.
- Competed at the 2023 Pan American Games and multiple Junior World Championships.
